Job summary

El Segundo Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a warm, upbeat Dental Assistant to join a small team focused on making visits safe, fun, and positive for children and their families. This role is part-time (about 25–34 hours per week) with a schedule that avoids weekends.

You will chairside assist, take radiographs, prepare and sterilize rooms, and help parents understand home care. California X-ray certification is preferred; RDA license and pediatric experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• California Radiation Safety (X-ray) certificate preferred.
• Nice to have: RDA license and pediatric dental experience.
• Recent graduates with a great attitude welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor chairside during exams, cleanings, and treatment visits.
• Help children feel comfortable, safe, and excited about their visit.
• Take and process radiographs.
• Prepare and sterilize operatories and instruments following infection control protocols.
• Explain home care to parents and help them feel confident about next steps.
• Support the front office and team so the day runs smoothly.

feel safe, fun, and positive for children and their families. We're a small, close-knit team, and we're looking for a

warm, upbeat Dental Assistant who lights up around kids and takes pride in great chairside care.

Schedule

• Mondays and Thursdays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesdays: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• 1–2 Fridays per month: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
