Job summary

NC Pediatric Dentistry in Shelby, NC is seeking an experienced DAI or DAII to join our growing team. You will assist with quality dental care under the supervision of a dentist and collaborate in a supportive clinic environment.

You will perform clinical duties including radiography, anesthesia monitoring, instrument processing, and assisting during procedures, while educating parents and patients on oral health.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Successful completion of a dental assistant program as per state guidelines.
• Dental x-ray certification is required.
• Coronal Polishing Certification is required.
• Nitrous oxide certification is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Review treatment needs and answer questions prior to starting procedures.
• Complete all treatment consents including re-care and operatory sheets.
• Perform routine dental cleanings and assist in patient education.
• Take and develop dental radiographs and monitor nitrous oxide use.
• Sterilize and deliver instruments; support back-of-house as needed.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and keep patient charts and notes up to date.
