Smile Doctors Affiliate in Livonia, MI is seeking a Pediatric Dental Assistant to join a growing team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist Dentists, greet patients, and manage records, x-rays, and scheduling.

You will also discuss oral hygiene with patients, support the Pediatric Hygienist, and obtain parental consent. State requirements for certifications may apply; a positive, people-first attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Dental Assistant certification as required by state Dental Board.
• Radiography certification if required by state Dental Board.
• CPR certification if required by state Dental Board.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room by sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment.
• Assists the Dentist by handing instruments and anticipating needs during procedures.
• Greets patients as they arrive and updates dental records.
• Takes and processes dental x-rays as directed.
• Schedules patient appointments and handles billing/insurance details.
• Advises patients on proper oral hygiene and care.
• Assists Pediatric Hygienist as needed.
• Obtains consent from parents.
