Qualifications

• DANB certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up sterilization room at start of day and close down at end of day.
• Review patient charts for the day.
• Check that units are ready, stocked, and clean at the beginning of each appointment.
• Greet and escort patient to operatory, seat patient and prepare setup.
• Review health history form with patient and update as needed.
• Anticipate and assist doctors' needs at all times.
• Perform clinical procedures, including taking extraoral and intraoral x-rays.
• Provide patient education and post-operative instructions.
• Perform coronal polishes for exams; prep and assist as needed.
• Pour impressions, trim models, fabricate appliances.
• Maintain sterilization processes and equipment upkeep.
• Ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance and proper charting.
• Be flexible with scheduling and adapt to practice needs.
