Job summary

Suwanee Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant to join our team and support high-quality care for children. You’ll work closely with our dentists to ensure smooth, comfortable visits and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include room preparation, patient education, x-ray handling, and strict infection control. A positive attitude, teamwork, and a valid RDA certification are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year dental assisting experience preferred.
• Active RDA certification or license.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures.
• Friendly, patient-focused approach with clear communication.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible to support teammates.
• Ability to work well with children and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable before treatment.
• Assist dentists chairside during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for appointments.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and maintain infection control.
• Take and process dental X-rays as prescribed with safety protocols.
• Record patient medical and dental histories and vital signs accurately.
• Provide post-operative instructions and care guidance to patients.
• Assist during medical and dental emergencies when needed.
• Take preliminary impressions for study models and assist with temporary restorations when state allows.
• Maintain and monitor dental equipment, order supplies, and manage inventory.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and required safety standards.
• Support daily practice needs and uphold team culture.
