West Coast Dental is seeking a Pediatric Dental Assistant to support dentists in delivering high-quality care to children in a friendly, fast-paced environment. You will assist with procedures, prep instruments, take X-rays, and educate families on oral hygiene while maintaining clean, organized rooms.

Strong communication and a welcoming demeanor are essential to help young patients stay calm and comfortable during visits.

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant certification is required.
• Experience in a pediatric dental setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work well with children and families.
• Team-oriented with good organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Focus on creating a welcoming experience for young patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures (4-handed dentistry).
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Ensure treatment rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patients.
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols.
• Help manage patient flow and create a positive, child-friendly environment.
