Job summary

Advocate Health’s Levine Children’s Hospital CVICU in Charlotte, NC, is a 20-bed pediatric cardiovascular ICU with a 1:1 or 1:2 staffing ratio. The unit treats neonates to 18-year-olds and holds top national rankings in pediatric cardiology and heart surgery.

Nurses provide coordinated, evidence-based care through the nursing process and collaborate across disciplines to ensure safety and exceptional patient experiences while supporting a mission to redefine care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• PALS certification is required within 6 months of hire.
• One year of pediatric in-patient RN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care as part of the nursing process.
• Maintain a safe patient environment and effective communication across units.
