Job summary

Atrium Health Levine Children’s Congenital Heart Center in Charlotte, NC seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to function independently in the CVICU, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on complex neonatal repairs, VAD, ECMO and transplant patients.

The position offers 32 hours per week with rotating days and nights, requiring NC/SC licensure, DEA, BLS, and 2+ years APP experience.

Qualifications

• Must be approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in NC/SC.
• 2+ years APP experience preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA with expiration date >90 days from start.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent patient care in CVICU for pediatric patients.
• Round daily with interdisciplinary team.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; manage treatment plans.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
• Document encounters in EMR and collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff.
