Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform CT examinations, including pediatric imaging, while maintaining image quality and safety standards. The role involves working weekend nights and participating in on-call rotations in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Candidates should have graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology, ARRT CT registration within 1 year, SC licensure, and a valid BLS certificate, with 0–2 years of modality

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT CT Registration must be obtained within 1 year in this position.
• Licensure from the SC Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or ARC CPR/AED) is required.
• 0–2 years of modality-specific experience; at least 1 year of X-Ray experience.

Compensation & Incentives

• Sign-on bonus: $10,000
• Relocation assistance: Up to $5,000 for eligible candidates
• Shift Differentials: up to $5.30 per hr (depending on shift)
• Additional pay: (call pay, overtime etc.)

Shift Details

• Schedule: Weekend Nights
• Hours: Fri-Sun, 7:00PM – 7:30AM
• Call requirements: Participation in the on-call rotation is required approximately once every three months.
• Holiday expectations: Rotating Schedule

• Provide CT imaging services on pediatric patients

Required License Certification and Registration

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.

Experience: 0 to 2 years of modality specific work experience, at least 1 year of X-Ray experience.

Required Registration/Certification

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R), required.
• ARRT CT Registration must be obtained within 1 year in this position.
• Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
