MUSC Health is seeking a CT Technologist for weekend nights at the Charleston campus. You will perform high-quality CT exams across all ages, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging for physician interpretation while prioritizing patient safety.

The role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance up to $5,000, plus shift differentials up to $5.30/hr. ARRT registration and SC licensure are required, with CT registration to be obtained within 1 year.

Qualifications

Shift Details

• Schedule: Weekend Nights
• Hours: Fri - Sun, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Call requirements: Participation in the on-call rotation is required approximately once every three months.
• Holiday expectations: Rotating Schedule

Responsibilities

• Utilize all CT imaging resources to perform high-quality CT examinations
• Provide CT imaging services for patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics
• Ensure accurate and efficient imaging for physician interpretation
• Maintain image quality standards and follow established CT protocols
• Deliver compassionate patient care while ensuring patient safety during examinations
• Operate CT equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment

Additional Job Description

Required License Certification and Registration:

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.

Experience: 0 to 2 years of modality specific work experience, at least 1 year of X-Ray experience.

Required Registration/Certification

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R), required.
• ARRT CT Registration must be obtained within 1 year in this position.
• Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider

Examples Include

• To transfer a 100 lb. patient that cannot assist in the transfer requires 50 lbs. of force. For every 100 additional pounds, assistance will be required from another healthcare worker.
• 20 lbs. of force is needed to push a 400 lb. patient in a wheelchair on carpet.
• 25 lbs. of force is required to push a stretcher with a patient with one hand.
