Job summary

The CT Technologist at Baylor Scott & White Health performs computed tomography procedures on ambulatory and hospitalized patients under the supervision of a Radiologist, following established protocols. The role emphasizes patient communication, radiation safety, proper positioning, and adherence to department standards.

This PRN position involves Fridays and Saturdays, with occasional weekday needs, and requires maintaining equipment and cleanliness while documenting patient data and imaging

Qualifications

• Must hold ARRT-CT certification.
• Must also be certified by ARRT in Radiography (R) or Nuclear Medicine (N) or by CNMT.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality CT procedures according to exam protocol.
• Maintain imaging quality by following established standards.
• Monitor radiation dose and respond to dose reference levels.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and communicate with patients.
• Position patients and adjust equipment controls for exams.
• Maintain equipment and department cleanliness.
