Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking a CT Technologist for PRN shifts (Fridays and Saturdays 11:30 PM–7:30 AM with some weekday needs). Under radiologist supervision, you will perform CT procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients according to established protocols.

You will ensure imaging quality, monitor radiation doses, assist with point-of-care testing, communicate with patients with AIDET, maintain safety and cleanliness, and support department operations.

Qualifications

• Perform high quality CT procedures according to exam protocol.
• Understand radiation dose reference levels and monitoring.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain consent when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality CT procedures according to exam protocol.
• Maintain imaging quality and safety standards.
• Use iSTAT point-of-care testing where applicable.
• Communicate with patients using AIDET to identify needs and provide explanations.
• Prepare patients and adjust equipment for procedures.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and radiation policies.
• Maintain equipment and department cleanliness.
• Document requisitions, patient history, and shielding precautions.
• Maintain imaging records according to department policies.
