Job Description Summary

CT Technologists at MUSC are essential in capturing detailed cross‑sectional images using cutting‑edge CT technology, including networked CT units, dedicated protocol support, and South Carolina’s only photon‑counting CT. As a CT technologist, you will aid in diagnosing and monitoring medical conditions, collaborating closely with other care teams to ensure high‑quality patient care in a dynamic medical environment.

• Shift differentials: up to $5.30 per hour (depending on shift)

Shift Details

• Schedule: Days, Overnights, Weekends

Responsibilities

• Utilize all CT imaging resources to perform high‑quality CT examinations
• Provide CT imaging services to pediatric patients
• Ensure accurate and efficient imaging for physician interpretation
• Maintain image quality standards and follow established CT protocols
• Deliver compassionate patient care while ensuring safety during examinations
• Operate CT equipment safely and effectively in a fast‑paced clinical environment
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to support diagnosis and treatment

Required License Certification and Registration

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
• Experience: 0 to 2 years of modality‑specific work experience; at least 1 year of X‑ray experience
• Required Registration/Certification:
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R)
  • ARRT CT registration must be obtained within 1 year in this position
  • Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required: certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider)
