Job summary

UHA University Health Associates is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia services for pediatric patients under the supervision of an anesthesiologist. The CRNA will manage preoperative to postoperative care, monitor patients, and adjust anesthesia plans as needed to ensure safety and optimal outcomes.

The role requires WV RN licensure and NBCRNA board certification, with duties spanning induction through emergence, airway management, and post-anesthesia

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of West Virginia, or applicable state where services will be performed.
  • Board certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains patient safety at all times during anesthesia care.
  • Manages airway for various anesthesia techniques and uses airway adjuncts as needed.
  • Performs anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence for general, regional, and monitored anesthesia cases.
  • Monitors patient status and informs attending anesthesiologist of critical events or status changes.
  • Documents anesthesia record accurately and ensures equipment readiness before initiating care.
