Job summary

Connecticut Children’s seeks a Clinical Pharmacist Pediatric Critical Care to optimize drug therapy in the Pediatric ICU and Neonatal ICU, design therapy, monitor, and dispense medications per SOPs, ACLS, PALS, and USP guidelines.

You will supervise pharmacy staff, participate in rounds with PICU/NICU teams, educate staff and care teams, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Education: PharmD.
• Experience: Hospital Pharmacist with PGY residencies.
• License: CT Pharmacist License.

Responsibilities

• Verify and check prescriptions adhering to safe dispensing practices.
• Review prescription orders for accuracy and completion.
• Provide medication evaluation considering interactions and patient factors.
• Mentor and train pharmacists, interns, residents in PICU/NICU.
• Round with the Pediatric Intensive Care Team and Neonatal Intensive Care Team.
