Job summary

Penn State Health - Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The role offers high autonomy and responsibility for direct patient care in a demanding pediatric critical care environment.

Ideal candidates will have pediatric ICU experience, AMA‑approved PA education, national certification and BLS. The position requires 24/7 in-house coverage with weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or equivalent licensure.
• National Certification or reciprocity/licensure to practice in the state of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
• Manage multiple modalities including ventilation, ECMO, and CRRT; participate in post-operative care as needed.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, nurses and staff to deliver critical care.
