Job summary

MedCare Pediatric is hiring a Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide one-on-one pediatric therapy in homes, daycares, and schools. You will work within physician-approved plans to improve daily living skills and functional independence, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license by anticipated start date
• One year of pediatric or related experience preferred; new graduates encouraged
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist according to physician-approved treatment plans
• Implement interventions to improve strength, mobility, coordination, fine motor skills, activities of daily living, and overall functional independence
• Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
