Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified by The State of New York as Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Master's degree preferred.
• OT License/Certification required by employer.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physical, communication and cognitive skills under OT supervision to develop a treatment plan.
• Assess the home, school and work environments of the patient.
• Help children participate in everyday activities based on their circumstances.
• Identify the patient’s sensory integration processing needs.
• Review progress and adapt treatment accordingly.
• Perform administrative tasks such as records, reports and calls.
