Job summary

ARKANSAS CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL in Springdale is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide pediatric clinical support in specialty clinics. Under the supervision of licensed providers, you will manage patient intake, vital signs, vaccines, and detailed documentation in Epic.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program with CMA/NCMA/CMA certification.
• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited MA program.
• 1 year healthcare or related MA experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provides pediatric clinical support including intake, vitals, and growth assessments.
• Administers medications and immunizations under provider order.
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Conducts point-of-care testing and clinic diagnostics.
• Monitors patient condition and notifies provider as needed.
• Maintains Epic documentation and order workflows.
• Supports quality improvement initiatives and patient safety.
• Educates patients and families to promote understanding.
• Supports clinic flow and infection prevention.
• Assists with additional duties to ensure safe care.
