Job summary

The Department of Pediatrics at UTMB in Galveston seeks a full-time General Pediatric Clinician Educator at Open Rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor). This role combines clinical care with education, serving pediatric residents and medical students in a multidisciplinary setting.

The successful candidate will provide coverage in general pediatrics, participate in the RWSP clinics serving the Houston region, and mentor learners while contributing to clinical oversight for pediatric APPs.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in General Pediatrics.
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas medical license.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient care and medical education.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general pediatric care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the division’s clinical and educational missions.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
