Job summary

Duke Health in Durham, NC seeks a Clinical Social Worker to provide psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning in a hospital setting. You will address emotional, behavioral, and substance use concerns while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families.

Level I focuses on core clinical duties, while Level II adds supervision, leadership, and program coordination responsibilities. An MSW with NC licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school.
• Two years of postinternship social work experience in a healthcare or social service setting.
• Two years of recent postmaster's clinical experience preferred.
• Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in NC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental needs.
• Develop and implement psychosocial treatment plans including crisis intervention and therapy.
• Screen and diagnose mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• Coordinate pre- and posthospital services and community resources.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
• May participate in on-call or after-hours coverage as required.
