Job summary

The University of Chicago’s Department of Pediatrics seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator 2 (CRC2) to support diverse pediatric clinical studies. The CRC2 reports to the Director of Clinical Research and collaborates with PIs and study teams on national, multi-site, and industry-sponsored trials, coordinating regulatory, data, and specimen handling tasks.

Responsibilities include maintaining SOPs, IRB submissions, QA activities, and data integrity, with opportunities to train new coordinators

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience coordinating multiple clinical research studies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures SOPs are implemented and documented per sponsor, PI, and regulatory specs.
• Coordinates quality assurance reviews, site visits, monitoring visits, and audits.
• Understand and apply IRB submission and review processes; prepare IRB submissions independently.
• Collect, process, ship, and store specimens per aseptic techniques.
