Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate initiation and regulatory compliance of pediatric studies, manage study documents, and oversee visits across departments.

The role balances patient-facing tasks with administrative data work, ensuring protocol adherence and data integrity. You will engage participants through informed consent, track grant timelines, and support QA/QC processes while collaborating with investigators

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year research experience required.
• Proficient organizational skills with ability to manage multiple studies.
• Proficient verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficient knowledge of FDA, HSR, and GCP Guidelines.
• Proficient analytical skills with the ability to recognize quantitative and qualitative research methods.
• Proficient entry level leadership skills.
• Recognizes the need to prioritize tasks and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and manages initiation and regulatory compliance of clinical research studies, including IRB and sponsor review.
• Manages study documents and source data while ensuring protocol compliance.
• Coordinates clinical research visits, site qualifications, initiation, monitoring, and close-out visits.
• Collects specimens, records data, and assists with QA/QC procedures.
• Engages participants, conducts informed consent, coordinates reimbursements, and serves as primary patient liaison.
• Oversees supplies and equipment inventory, including lab kits and requisitions.
• Tracks deadlines for grants and deliverables.
• Prepares coded data and develops data dictionaries for accessibility.
• Participates in investigator meetings and supports ethical research conduct.
• Assists with invoicing and billing for studies.
