Job summary

The University of Chicago’s BSD PED - Clinical Trials Office seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC2) to support the Department of Pediatrics. The CRC 2 will work under the Director of Clinical Research and the study team on national multi-center trials and disease-specific studies, coordinating regulatory, data, and operational tasks.

Minimum qualifications include a college degree and 2-5 years of related clinical research experience; preferred Bachelor’s degree and strong data management

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
• 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 2 years of clinical research experience coordinating multiple and variety of studies.

Responsibilities

• Ensures SOPs are implemented and documented per sponsor, PI, and regulatory specs; coordinates QA reviews.
• Understand IRB submission and review process and facilitate initiation with timely IRB submissions.
• Collect, process, ship and store specimens per aseptic techniques.
• Prepares program conference lists for multidisciplinary conferences and workshops.
• May assist in training new or backup coordinators.
• Accountable for tasks in moderately complex clinical studies.
• Assist with professional/organizational tasks under moderate supervision.
• Facilitates daily activities of moderately complex clinical studies and data retrieval.
• Coordinates collection of analyzable clinical research data and samples.
