Tenet Healthcare's DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan is seeking a Pharmacist - Clinical to provide advanced pharmacy services, review prescriptions for safety and appropriateness, counsel patients, and collaborate with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities include therapeutic drug monitoring and supervision of staff, with licensure in Michigan required within 3 months of starting. This role supports pediatric care teams in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy or completion of foreign equivalency examination.
• Registered Pharmacist and Controlled Substance licensures in the State of Michigan obtained within 3 months of entry into job.

Responsabilités

• Provides clinical pharmacy services including primary care services and consultative services to patients and health care providers.
• Reviews prescriptions to determine that order is safe and appropriate for the specific patient.
• Contacts authorized prescriber as necessary to review vague or illegible prescriptions.
• Interviews patients for medication history and provides counseling on current drug therapy.
• Assigns, educates, trains and supervises the work of support personnel in preparation of medications.
• Ensures inventory of medication and pharmacy supplies and related records.
