Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for the Toledo Pharmacy (Evening Shift). The role focuses on delivering evidence-based pharmacotherapy, direct patient care, and interprofessional collaboration for patients from birth through young adulthood.

The pharmacist will participate in teaching, quality initiatives, and transitions of care, with precepting responsibilities for residents and students.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy required; licensure to practice in Ohio required.
• Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy (BPS) or eligible within 24 months of hire.
• PGY1 residency and PGY2 residency or fellowship required; or 3–5 years of hospital pharmacist experience with direct clinical care in pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacotherapy services across assigned practice areas, integrating patient-centered care.
• Document care and outcomes in the medical record; verify orders for timely delivery.
• Precept and supervise pharmacy residents, students, interns, and staff; contribute to teaching.
• Participate in medication safety, quality improvement, and interprofessional committees.
