Job summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate patient and family care across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will manage clinical management, referrals, evaluation, and data collection for clinical trials and quality improvement projects, ensuring safe patient care and compliance with regulations.

Required Nursing Bachelor’s degree, GA RN licensure (or multi-state), and BLS.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in nursing
• 2 years of experience in specialty nursing in appropriate area
• Demonstrated computer skills in database management
• Must pass Basic Windows Skill Assessment at 80%+ within 30 days of employment
• RN licensure in GA or multi-state via eNLC
• BLS certification from AHA within 30 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate evaluation and consultation process for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings and ensure documentation and follow-up of tests and coordination of care.
• Ensure appropriate outpatient care and follow-up by handling calls and providing medication refills as needed.
• Develop and implement protocols and data collection tools for research patients and quality improvement data, coordinating follow-up appointments.
• Assist in developing policies and procedures and coordinating regulatory accreditation and audits.
• Establish relationships with departments and managers to ensure program activities comply with guidelines and standards.
• Develop instruction programs for staff on program criteria and developments.
• Perform other activities to ensure safe and therapeutic continuity of patient care.
• Demonstrate competencies across age-specific guidelines from Neonate to Adult.
