Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and specialized tests, report results, and contribute to lean process improvements in a patient-focused laboratory environment.

Required is a Bachelor’s degree in MLS or related field, ASCP or equivalent certification, and at least 2 years in a clinical laboratory, with BLS within 30 days. The role supports weekend shifts (Sat, Sun, Thu, Tue) with start at 10:30 AM and end at 11:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in clinical laboratory required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Independent judgment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Processes orders and specimens and reports results per SOPs.
• Maintains quality control data and instrument performance.
• Performs maintenance and ensures safety/compliance in the lab.
• Participates in training and shift meetings to support lean culture.
