Job summary

Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory professional to join the Core Lab Administration on the Main Campus. The role involves performing a full range of diagnostic tests and laboratory services in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring accuracy and timely results.

Responsibilities include quality control, equipment maintenance, sample handling, regulatory readiness, and coordination with on-site and off-site staff to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree specializing in medical technology from an accredited institution or official military medical laboratory procedures course and held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist required.
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biologic or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution preferred.
• 1 of 4: MLT(ASCP), AMT, NCA, MT(ASCP) within year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs a full range of diagnostic tests and laboratory services following established guidelines.
• Ensures sample suitability and stability; may include sample collection.
• Maintains equipment and instruments; ensures quality control and QA.
• Prepares the laboratory for unannounced regulatory inspections.
• Maintains accurate records and coordinates communications with on/off-site staff.
