Job summary

Dayton Children's - Main Campus is seeking an experienced Laboratory Staff member for 2nd/3rd shift on a full-time basis. The role conducts a full range of diagnostic tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology and more, following DC main Laboratory guidelines and ensuring sample quality and timely results.

An Associate's degree in medical technology or military medical laboratory training is required; certification within a year (MLT, AMT, NCA, MT ASCP) is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in medical technology or equivalent military training required.
• Military Medical Laboratory Specialist background acceptable.
• Certification within one year of hire (MLT/AMT/NCA/MT ASCP).

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of simple-to-complex diagnostic tests and related lab services.
• Ensure sample suitability, stability and proper handling for testing.
• Maintain equipment and quality control; assist with inspections.
• Process samples for on-site testing or reference laboratories as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and stock laboratory supplies; support Lab Supervisor.
