Job summary

IU Health is seeking an outpatient pediatric gastroenterology clinical dietitian to deliver comprehensive nutrition care for ambulatory patients. The role emphasizes nutrition assessment, enteral support, diet education, caloric optimization, and growth monitoring.

The incumbent will work to develop individualized nutrition care plans, ensure malnutrition documentation, and meet state licensing requirements within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required or Bachelor's Degree prior to 2024.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of start date.
• Indiana state RD license within 1 year of start date.
• Clinical area billing may require CDR approval and Indiana state RD license.
• Ability to develop nutritional care plans and provide nutritional education.
• Demonstrate competency in nutrition-focused physical exam and malnutrition documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition assessment and care for ambulatory pediatric gastroenterology patients.
• Manage enteral nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Educate patients and families on nutrition plans.
• Monitor caloric intake and growth.

Description

This is an Outpatient Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinical Dietitian position that provides comprehensive nutrition care for ambulatory pediatric gastroenterology patients, including nutrition assessment, enteral nutrition management, therapeutic diet education, optimization of caloric intake, growth monitoring, and identification and management of malnutrition in infants and children.

• Master's Degree is required or Bachelor's Degree prior to 2024.
