Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to function independently using the nursing process, and to assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate and delegate nursing tasks across the lifespan. The RN will collaborate with patients, families, physicians/APPs, and clinic staff to improve care quality and patient experience.

This role requires WA MLS RN licensure, BLS, and preference for a BSN with clinic experience.

Qualifications

• RN license in Washington State or multistate MLS endorsement.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ALS may be required after hire depending on clinic site.
• Two years of RN experience in a clinic setting preferred; Transition to Practice for less than two years possible.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, coordinate, evaluate and delegate nursing functions across the lifespan.
• Independently triages patients in person, by phone and via secure messages using protocols and standards.
• Use critical thinking for patient care decisions with relevant standards and data.
• Deliver medical regimens as directed by physicians and APPs.
• Delegate patient care functions to others per education and competence.
• Collaborate with the clinic team to improve quality of care and patient experience.
• Foster a learning environment for patients, families and health care team.
• Advocate for ethical, holistic care promoting autonomy and dignity for diverse patients.

Education

RN license (Washington MLS)

BSN preferred

BLS Certification

Advanced Life Support (ALS) may be required
