Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson is seeking a Clinic Peds Nurse to join our pediatric team.

You will collaborate with providers to diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses and participate in wellness programs, screenings, and preventative education for diverse patient populations. You will perform general nursing care, obtain consent and health histories, document vital signs and risk factors, and care for patients in accordance with guidelines and state laws.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of pediatric development and common childhood illnesses.
• Ability to work with healthcare team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
• Obtain patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
• Obtain and document health history, chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors.
• Provide patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.

CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson part of CommonSpirit Heath a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinic Peds Nurse, at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, you will help the healthcare team who contributes to the success the practice by demonstrating customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism, and teamwork.

Every day you will collaborate with our providers to diagnose and treat patients with various illnesses, from the common cold to chronic conditions.. You will be expected to focus on wellness programs such as comprehensive screenings, risk assessments, and preventative health education for all patient populations.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of pediatric development and common childhood illnesses, along with a compassionate approach to patient care.

Job Requirements

Required

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Candidates must hold an RN license that qualifies them to work as an RN in North Dakota (either an ND RN license or a compact RN license issued in another state)
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Suport (BLS)
