Job summary

Children's Minnesota is seeking a Clinic Assistant as part of the Dual Trainee Program to support providers and staff in clerical and patient care tasks within a pediatric clinic.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and comfort with computers and medical terminology. Trainee will work 0.6 FTE while pursuing a Medical Assistant program, with scheduling coordinated by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Post high school training in a health care setting and/or pediatric experience preferred.
• Computer knowledge.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and staff in the clerical and patient care aspects of the pediatric clinic.
• Work as Clinic Assistant (CA) while completing a Medical Assistant program; coordinate with direct leader to create a weekly schedule that fits business needs and class schedule.
