Job summary

Children’s National Hospital seeks an RN for chemotherapy infusion in the Washington, DC area. The position requires current DC RN licensure and CPR, with at least 1 year of RN experience and preference for hematology/oncology exposure.

You will complete orientation, maintain knowledge in the specialty, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care for pediatric patients and families.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (DC) with current RN license and CPR certification.
• Completion of hospital/nursing orientation and ongoing knowledge updates in specialty area.
• Ability to communicate effectively and advocate for patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chemotherapy infusion nursing care per policy and standards.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving during patient care.
• Coordinate plan of care and handoffs with the care team.
• Escalate issues using the chain of command.
• Maintain regulatory requirements and attend mandatory education.
• Promote safety and high-quality patient outcomes.
