Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking a Chemo CPOE Informatics Pharmacist to lead implementation, optimization, and maintenance of chemotherapy CPOE systems in pediatric care. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and IT to ensure safe ordering, administration, and documentation of regimens.

This is a clinical informatics role reporting to the Manager, Pharmacy Systems and Solutions. Responsibilities include system design, testing, education, and process improvements to enhance patient safety

Responsibilities

• Chemo CPOE System Implementation and Optimization
• Design, implementation, and maintenance of chemotherapy CPOE with IT and clinical stakeholders
• Ensure pediatric oncology protocols, dosing calculations, and interactions are accurate in the CPOE
• Regular system updates and troubleshooting to align with current practices and regulations
• User testing to identify issues and ensure smooth updates or features
• Clinical support and integration with pediatric oncologists, pharmacists, nurses, and staff
• Collaborate to optimize chemotherapy order sets to meet best practices for pediatrics
• Provide ongoing training and develop resources for proper system usage
• Monitor safety of chemotherapy orders and stay updated with guidelines for pediatric oncology
