Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with licensed occupational therapists to deliver personalized therapy services that promote functional independence and developmental progress. Your expertise will help children overcome challenges related to daily activities, mobility, and sensory processing at our Rock Hill outpatient location!

Duties

• Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
• Support children in performing activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting, fostering independence.
• Provide therapy interventions in diverse settings including home health visits, outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient clinics.
• Monitor and document patient progress accurately while maintaining detailed records of therapy sessions.
• Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to reinforce progress at home or in community environments.
• Support children with diverse needs including pediatrics, geriatrics, inpatient care, outpatient therapy, and occupational health programs.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during all therapy activities and maintain a positive, motivating environment for children.

Skills
