Job summary

Scottish Rite for Children is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Frisco ambulatory surgical center. The role supports patient intake, vitals, histories, room preparation, and coordination of tests in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Ideal candidates hold CMA certification, BLS, and familiarity with EMR systems; phlebotomy experience is a plus. Part-time schedule offers weekday coverage with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified or registered Medical Assistant required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Applicable work experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage clinic throughput and patient-room flow.
• Assist with intake, measure vital signs, review medication lists; take histories.
• Prepare and disinfect exam rooms before visits.
• Ensure supplies and instruments are available in clinics.
• Schedule diagnostic tests or imaging as needed.
• Maintain patient information in the electronic medical record and HIPAA compliance.
