Job summary

Special Sitters - Omaha NE is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home support for a client with developmental disabilities in their home. Join a team dedicated to empowerment and meaningful impact, with flexible hours and opportunities to gain valuable experience in a rewarding field.

You will work closely with a supervisor, following individualized care plans, and assist with daily activities while ensuring safety and well-being of the client.

Qualifications

• A passion for working with children and young adults with developmental disabilities.
• First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain them before starting).
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work remotely with a supervisor that is reachable by phone.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support tailored to the client’s individual needs.
• Implement and follow individualized care plans to ensure safety.
• Assist with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
• Document progress, behaviors, and incidents accurately and promptly.
