Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to coordinate pediatric care within a medical home model, supporting physicians and ARNPs in daily clinical practice management. Qualifications

• 2 years clinical experience preferred.
• Experience in administration of vaccines, nebulizer treatments, catheterization for urine and other interventions preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) - Florida Licensure required or at time of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required or at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Handles all incoming calls and processes In-basket requests in EPIC for clinics.
• Attends educational activities and reviews current pediatric care literature.
• Ensure vaccines are stocked and in compliance.
• Schedules urgent pre-operative, flu, and Synagis appointments.
• Assesses physical, psychosocial and developmental needs of patients and families.
• Delivers teaching plans and documents care in the medical record.
• Collaborates with family and healthcare team to arrange home care and referrals.
• Reviews home nursing and orders for accuracy before signature.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and updates the plan in EMR.
