Job summary

Pediatric Specialty Care (PSC) is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to keep our pediatric care facility clean, safe, and welcoming for medically fragile children and their families. This role supports infection control and clinical care teams by maintaining rooms, restrooms, and common areas with attention to detail.

The ideal candidate is reliable, respectful, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, with basic English proficiency and a commitment to privacy and dignity in a home-like environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a height of 4 feet and move it at least 2 feet.
• Must pass medical and physical examination per facility policy.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English at an intermediate level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain individual resident rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Perform terminal cleaning after room transfers, discharges, or transitions.
• Sanitize high-touch surfaces daily to support infection control.
• Wet and dry mop floors and use proper safety signage.
• Clean furniture, fixtures, mirrors, walls, baseboards, stairwells, elevators, and windows.
• Maintain clean and soiled utility rooms.
• Restock housekeeping carts and maintain organized supply areas.
• Respond to emergency housekeeping needs when accidents occur.
• Submit maintenance requests as needed.
• Interact respectfully and compassionately with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Protect confidentiality and respect privacy at all times.
