Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a part-time Patient Care Assistant for the Specialty Pediatrics III unit at the Main Campus. The role supports nurses in patient care activities, helps monitor vitals, and contributes to a safe, family-centered environment.

The PCA assists with activities of daily living, documents patient information, and upholds confidentiality and safety standards as part of a dynamic pediatric team.

Qualificações

• HSD/GED is required.
• PCA training or PCA experience or actively enrolled in a health care related education program is required.
• 1-2 years STNA experience in hospital setting is preferred.
• CPR is preferred at hire, but must be obtained within 2 weeks of start date.

Responsabilidades

• Assists the nurse in completion of patient care activities, considering developmental level.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills and reports patient information as indicated.
• Records vital signs, intake and output, and provides safe transportation and environment for patients.
• Cross trained to support clinical and clerical sides of the business.
