Children’s Health System of Texas is seeking an outstanding ambulatory pediatric cardiologist to serve the North Texas region. The physician will join Pediatric Heart Specialists (“PHS”), a well-established and respected former private group practice that joined Children’s Health in 2018. PHS operates as the main ambulatory and outreach arm of The Heart Center, a nationally recognized program that combines medical care delivered by Children’s Health and the cardiology faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Consistently ranked as a top children’s hospital for pediatric cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, Children’s Medical Center Dallas performs over 650 cardiac surgeries annually with surgical outcomes ranking in the top 10% in the country. The Heart Center also houses a pediatric cardiology fellowship program and robust cardiac subspeciality support. These subspecialities include the busiest pediatric cardiac transplant center in the country and the only one in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Other notable programs include but are not limited to Complex Biventricular Repair, Pulmonary Vein Stenosis, Pulmonary Hypertension, Exercise Cardiology, and Lymphatic Disorders.

The group also provides inpatient consultative and telemedicine services to many delivery hospitals in the DFW/East Texas catchment area. Applicant must be Board-Eligible and/or Board-Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and have successfully completed an accredited fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology. Applicant must have a Texas Medical License at the time of hire. Candidates with clinical experience in imaging and fetal cardiology are strongly preferred.
