Job description

Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital is seeking a pediatric cardiologist to further develop its busy and dynamic outpatient pediatric cardiology and fetal program. This desired candidate should be BE/BC in pediatric cardiology and be able to successfully collaborate with a team of cardiac specialists within the division as well as other in house and community-based providers. This position will be primarily focused on outpatient care including consultation, diagnostics, and longitudinal management of children with congenital and acquired heart disease. Additionally, this position will include general inpatient cardiology service coverage. Opportunities exist to work alongside other cardiology subspecialties (including EP, interventional, advanced heart failure/transplant, adult congenital, and advanced imaging), as well as to develop collaborative relationships with referring community providers and general pediatricians.

Responsibilities

• The outpatient cardiologist will participate in the evaluation and longitudinal follow-up of patients in various subspecialty cardiology clinics.
• Contribute to program development efforts aimed at expanding access and care for children across the region.
• Provide general inpatient cardiology service coverage as needed.
• Collaborate with cardiac specialists and community-based providers, including EP, interventional, advanced heart failure/transplant, adult congenital, and advanced imaging colleagues.
• Engage in academic activities, depending on the candidate's interests.
