The University of Oklahoma's Division of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery seeks a pediatric cardiac surgeon to support our pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery practice. This instructor-level appointment emphasizes operating, postoperative care, transplant harvesting, and active participation in education under senior supervision.
Fellowship-trained candidates who are eligible for Oklahoma State Medical License, OBNDD and DEA will be considered.
The Division of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery in the Department of Surgery seeks a pediatric cardiac surgeon, instructor to support our pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery practice. Responsibilities will include operating, postoperative care, transplant harvesting and participation in all educational activities as determined by the senior surgeon. Close mentorship will occur in all aspects of pediatric heart surgery. Candidates should be fellowship trained from an accredited institution, professional, highly motivated, hard-working, and dedicated to high-quality outcomes in surgery. This would be a one-to-two-year appointment with the possibility of promotion. Candidates should be able to fulfill requirements to obtain an Oklahoma State Medical License as well OBNDD and DEA. Background checks will be performed and review of all surgical quality data. Your ability to satisfy all of these credentials is a must for consideration for employment as well coverage under our liability insurance carrier.
