Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a pediatric critical care physician to join our expanding PICU. You will work with an integrated team of intensivists and advanced practice providers to deliver high‑quality care to critically ill children across medical and surgical subspecialties.

The role requires an MD or DO with board eligibility/certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and fellowship training in cardiac intensive care. Ohio medical licensure is expected on appointment.

Responsibilities

• Join a multidisciplinary team of intensivists and APPs in Akron Children’s PICU.

The Hospital is a level 1 trauma center, and the intensivists serve as the medical control physician for a large regional transport service.

Requirements include MD or DO degree, board eligibility/board certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, additional fellowship training in cardiac intensive care medicine and the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.
