Job summary

Akron Children's seeks a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine physician to join a team in Northeast Ohio. You will provide care in a 45-bed PICU, collaborate with 13 intensivists and 16 advanced practice providers, and participate in research and professional growth.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a 45-bed PICU for pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of intensivists and AP staff.
• Engage in ongoing research, education, and professional development.
• Demonstrate leadership in cardiac critical care and patient safety.

Join a well-established team of 13 pediatric intensivists and 16 advanced practice providers who provide services in the Hospital's newly expanded 45 bed PICU that includes 13 high acuity beds, a secondary unit that can accommodate an additional 23 patients and a 9-bed cardiac critical care unit.

Akron Children's PICU has more than 1800 annual admissions, providing care for all medical, cardiothoracic surgery, and other surgical subspecialty and ECMO patients. The Hospital is a level 1 trauma center, and the intensivists serve as the medical control physician for a large regional transport service.
