Akron Children's invites physicians to join our NICU/PICU team. You will contribute to the care of critically ill children, including cardiac surgery and ECMO patients, within a large pediatric health system in Northeast Ohio.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Critical Care.
• Fellowship training in cardiac intensive care.
• Active Ohio medical license eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric critical care in the PICU.
• Care for patients including those requiring cardiac surgery and ECMO support.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Engage in teaching, mentorship and research where available.

The Hospital is a level 1 trauma center, and the intensivists serve as the medical control physician for a large regional transport service.

Requirements include MD or DO degree, board eligibility/board certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, additional fellowship training in cardiac intensive care medicine and the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.
