Job summary

The position requires an unrestricted Florida RN license with BSN preferred, plus possible board certification. RNs hired after specified dates must pursue BSN or certification within defined timelines to maintain eligibility.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred at time of hire.
• Professional nursing board certification preferred at time of hire.
• Nurses hired after April 30, 2014 must obtain a BSN within three years of hire.
• Nurses hired after June 30, 2011 must obtain board certification within two years of hire (or by eligibility date).

Responsibilities

• Identify health alterations and assess patient responses to problems.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing interventions.
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and adjust care as needed.
• Involve patient and family in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Supervise LPNs and UAPs and delegate duties where appropriate.
• Coordinate care with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in unit activities that promote a positive and professional environment.
• Advocate for patient-centered care and best practices.
