Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a qualified Echocardiography Technologist to perform adult and pediatric cardiac ultrasound. The role requires rotating on-call duties, clinic and hospital work, and routine pediatric echoes, with training planned for fetal echo within a year.

The position involves travel to outreach sites as needed and collaboration with a team to maintain high clinical standards and patient care. A ND license or eligibility is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience working independently in adult echocardiography is required.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS AE) certification is required.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS PE) registry certified or must be obtained within 12 months of training with the ARDMS or CCI is required.
• If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board is required.

Responsibilities

• Take call at the hospital on a rotational basis including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.
• Rotate between clinic and hospital to perform echoes on congenital adult and pediatric patients.
• Perform echoes on a routine basis at the pediatric echo clinic.
• Request vacation through the supervisor for approval for all absences.
• Be trained into fetal echo and complete training within 12 months.
• Split duties at the pediatric clinic with other staff.
• May travel to outreach sites if needed.
• May have other duties as assigned to help the team.

Education
